My name is Mrs. Hart and I am the music teacher at Texas Elementary School of the Arts.  I have loved music all of my life.  I started playing the piano and singing as a child.  I sang in choir during Jr. High and High School.  I was in several musicals and went to All-state choir in High School.  I majored in Music Education at East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Music Education K-12.  Several years later I completed my Elementary Education certification at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.   During my teaching career I have taught a Gifted and Talented pull-out program class, fourth and fifth grade regular education classes and Elementary music,.  I retired from the public school system, and now teach at TESA two days a week.   I have had so much fun working with hundreds of children.  My goal in teaching music is to have shared the gift of music with all of my students.  My hope is that they continue to enjoy music the rest of their lives.
