Missy Matherne received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. After college, Missy moved to NYC where she worked as an A.E.A union actor, singer and dancer in Off-Broadway, regional theatres, cabarets, workshops, readings, children’s theatre and other professional theatres. She worked side by side Tony award winner composers such as Stephen Flaherty and David Zipple. She has also performed with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, been seen in television commercials and on several PBS specials. In the time that Missy has been back in her home state of Texas, she has earned her Texas Teachers Certificate and worked as a performer, director, music director, choreographer, vocal coach and conducted master classes at many DFW theatres. These theatres include: Bass Hall, Casa Manana, TCC (Tarrant County Community College), Theatre Arlington, Kids Who Care, C.A.T.S. (Creative Arts Theatre& School), Music Machine, LifeSong Theatre and The Forum Theatre. Missy loves the arts and she has a passion to share it with others. |
